To start a registry edit, you will need to know how to access your registry editor on the computer. If you go to your C drive and open your Windows folder you can scroll down to find “regedit“. Or you can follow the steps below.

What you see now is your registry editor.

Auslogics has a great registry cleaner that is completely free to download and install. They have a more robust program that will allow specific settings to be made. Once installed all you have to do is start it up and click on the Run button and it cleans your registry similar to the Defrag function for your hard drive.
