Then you have second option which is using an adware-spyware removal tool to get rid off spyware from your computer.

Is there a Difference between Adware and Spyware?
In simple terms adware cause nuisance to us by forcing us to view advertisements while spyware steal our data which is potentially more dangerous. Essentially, there is a fine line whether a malicious program can be called either a spyware or an adware. Not all adwares are threats or malicious to your computer while spywares are always a threat to your privacy as well as to your computer.

Adware:
An adware is generally considered as a genuine alternative offered by software developers to consumers who do not wish to pay for a software product. For example software companies might release adware programs freeware that have limited features and factions than the paid version and every time you use the freeware it will prompt you to pay in order to register it. There is nothing malicious about this and most of us would have come across and used such adware. An adware can be distributed as a program, game or software utility designed and distributed as freeware.
Some freeware applications do not have any restriction in terms of features and factions. But they will have a section with in the software interface to display advertisements from sponsors. Some times these sponsor ads are displayed as a pop-up ad box on your computer. When you stop running the software, the ads and pop-ups usually disappear. Again this type of adware programs are legitimate option for software companies to promote their products and services.

However there are cases where these ads frequently pop-up on your desktop unexpectedly. Such adware programs may all of a sudden force you to view an ad while you are working on your PC and may become somewhat of an annoyance. So far it is fine. But some times you won’t be able to stop running this adware or disable them. And some adware programs would try to force their way into bombarding you with pop-up ads in order to push you to buy their software or service. You may finally have to abandon the half finished work and restart your computer in order to get rid off the adware. This is a serous disturbance though the adware will not cause any damages to your computer.

Spywares:
Spyware programs, on the other hand, can be threat to your computer and a hassle to you in a different way. Spyware distributors present the spyware as a freeware that is something useful to the user. Once this freeware has been downloaded and installed, the spyware may then find its way into your computer and do evil things. The functions of a certain spyware program can be malicious and may secretly work its destruction without you ever noticing it.

Usually the Spyware programs monitor your online activity and transmit that information to the spyware developer or propagator. Some spyware programs will force your computer to download certain software which could contain virus in it. Some other malicious spyware programs even go to the extent of monitoring your keystrokes which could result in identity theft. The spyware propagators can get their hands on your sensitive computer information and private data such as passwords, credit card numbers and email addresses etc. Some spywares are so sophisticated that they can get inside of your computer hard drive, spread its way into other PCs, alter your windows registry values and even damage a computer’s internal system.
